Thanks From Me n Zee!!!

Dear Friends,
Zee and I would like to thank ALL those who lit candles for us last night. I heard the sky was lit in almost every country around the world! Special thanks to Mo for his extra special campaign, you are too precious!
We just want you to know that we are doing fine and that together we will make it through this, inshallah, with your help and support.
Zee has been allowed to come visit us at home these past two days in the afternoons. 7adara!!! (i.e. civilization!) She came for a few hours, ate teta's food like it was the first meal she'd had in years and filled up on hugs, kisses and cuddles to last till the next day.
My doc's appt was very positive today too, hamdillah. Everything going according to plan (a few side effects from the meds, but it's ok). Pretty soon I will be as strong as ever, God willing, and I will take Zee back home to Beirut to continue her consolidation treatment there.
On a lighter note, notice my eyebrows growing back!!! Yaaaaay!!! My hair's also starting to show. Yippeee!
yalla, l8r dudes,
mwah

Dearest Hala and Zee,

As you said in one of your comments: It could have been worse". God acts in a mysterious way, a way that sometimes we don't understand!! But believe me, he knows better than us what is the best for us.
You may wonder and ask: How can this be while my little angle Zee and I are sick!?

I can only answer you that this is his will and as we are his children, we have to have faith in him and his love and mercy.

He needs your faith and your continuous prayers!!
Just ask for his presence and he will be there for you, near you to give you strength and Joy.
Don't let your cancer separate you from your beloved Father.
Surrender faitfully to his will and he will guide you and support you.
Give him your hand and you'll be surprised to find out how much he is quick.
He sees you and listen to you...

You are strong and you will win!! both of you.

N.B:By the way, I like your new "head"; it's in nowadays!! Tu es avantgardiste dear Hala.

Yalla, i'll be waiting to see you soon in Beirut, to taste your cookies and cakes!

God bless you and your little angle,

Sincerely,
Sandra

When I first read your blog… Is that what we call it? (Actually I recently knew about it… aslan law betshoufi kaddeish I’m struggling bil Face book lahatta 2a3ref bil blog?!)… your sight… I felt I’m reading Brigit Jones diary: you made me smile, you made me cry, you made me stop breathing for a second, you made me think of God and re-examine why the hell he’s slipping away from me too, no, it’s not fair! you made me admire your positive attitude, you made me accept things and try to wiggle my 4th toe and it doesn’t dance( I’m too stiff… I guess! From head to toe), you made me think of my priorities, of my resolutions, you made me remember your heart-warming laughter, you made me think that you should publish your (blog?) section so that our children can gain strength from you because you are a hero and I think Pocahontas hair(not little mermaid) would suit you because she’s strong like you. Regarding food and drinks, I don’t know but I promise u a glass of wine before sleeping can do wonders. I love you Halloul, you are my little sister!

Zee is such a little mini-me (yaani mini-hala, not me!) - she gets cuter by the minute, doesn't she? You both look great, and seeing both your smiles beaming out at us is such a present this morning!

Please keep on giving us all the news you can - I am so grateful that you're able to get such good medical care, both of you. You really are in good hands, and you will be back home in no time, inshallah.

Big hugs and lots of love

hi halloul,

you know i have been a silent reader of your blog since the beginning, coz i am not that good in writing...

But I wanted to tell you is that when you are down,we, your blog-readers, are down, and when you are in a good mood, our heart grows bigger and we continue our day positively and full of hope. We are ALL learning a lot from you dearest halloul, learning to be positive, to be thankful and to accept whatever God sends us with a big heart and always cheerfully, always positively. So, keep on your good faith and your good energy coz you will pass it to ALL of us, and most importantly to the cute little Zee...

You are always on our minds and in our heart, our prayers are always with you, and looking forward to seeing you and Zee in Beirut, both healthy and happy inshallah, very soon.
Keep walking, keep fighting, keep positive...
Love,
The Abbouds
