Pricks!!!

Needle pricks, of course, what were u thinking??? Let's count them today: blood test prick, IV prick, Central Line prick and bone marrow aspirate prick. Uffffffffffffffffff! Yes, i got a Central Line!!! I feel like the London Underground! What station should I get off at??? A Central line, however, rids me of more pricks, so is on my side! We like the Central Line. The aspirate was a different story. Ouch! But it's good that it hurt, bec it turned out to be wet, which is a very good sign, thank God!
So, chemo starts again tomoro. They couldn't start tonight cuz they need me to pee rivers! so they are hydrating me again and i am visiting the loo every half hour. I guess we're not getting much sleep tonight.

Sorry that the aspirate hurt! Habibti. But I have to say I'm glad that it did too - for the same reason you were.
I'll be thinking of you every time I go to the loo tonight, ok? so you won't feel too lonely, heehee. Thinking of you always, hugs and kisses

Who ever invented the "aspirate" was really not "inspired." Sorry, it hurts. I remember drawing fake tattoos evey time after I got pricked with a needle :). I actually wanted to tattoo a dragon permanently on my breast..sort of saying: I am going to devour this life bil "akhdar wel yabess." Love, my sweet Hala. Keep up your feisty spirit, darling!

Central Line is good. You can get off at Bond Street for your new outfits for your slimmed figure.
My daughter's friend was so relieved when she finally got her line in - know what you're talking about.
So one of the bullets or sand thingies worked on the aspirate. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed the rest of the talismen work as well. (taliswomen?)
Chin up brave woman, wishing you all the strength and courage you need.

Hey!!! I'M the peeing partner!

Last night a new friend in geneva sent me an email, a very inspiring few words, one of those that come with a picture of a tree with glorious rays shining through its branches at sunset (or maybe sunrise?? what do i know?). Anyway, it was one of those mails that say pass this on to all your friends and a small miracle will happen tonight. The wrods were sweet and the picture dismissable, i dont usually read those emails, let alone forward them, but was hoping for a tiny tiny miracle last night so i sent if off to 4 or 5 people. The tiny miracle that i had in mind did not happen last night BUT i did have some great news: your aspirate was wet! So i decided to designate that as my BIG miracle for last night!
The thing is, wish for good things always, something will always come through.

Mmmmwah

Hala, I had breast cancer and I underwent a radical mastectomy a while back. We're sisters in arms, my dear :)
